A new defense aid package from Germany includes munitions and drones, and Norway has begun talks on bilateral security guarantees.

Germany handed over a new package of military aid; notably, 14,000 155 mm shells were delivered to Ukraine. Germany also has provided four WISENT 1 demining tanks, three mobile remotely controlled and protected demining systems, explosive ordnance disposal materials,10 VECTOR UAVs, 22 anti-drone sensors and jamming systems, etc.

The Netherlands has also allocated €100M to purchase ammunition for Ukraine. The country will finance the supply of hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition that has been sourced by the Czech Republic.

At the same time, Center, the Swedish opposition party,  has called on the Swedish government to provide Ukraine with JAS 39 Gripen fighters as quickly as possible. It is known that other opposition parties also support the supply of the Gripen.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has started negotiations with Norway on the conclusion of a bilateral security agreement. Zelenskyy’s office called Norway a key partner in Northern Europe and one of the leaders of the combat aircraft coalition.
