In the Lviv region, a new $30M Philip Morris factory has achieved its planned annual capacity.

At the start of the year, Philip Morris in Ukraine brought its new factory in the Lviv region, which was launched in May 2024, up to its planned operating capacity. The facility features five production lines with a total capacity of 10 billion cigarettes per year. Reaching full capacity means that Philip Morris can completely supply the Ukrainian market with domestically produced products and is free of a contract with a partner that had been manufacturing goods under the company’s brand for over two years.
Philip Morris’s investment in Ukraine is not limited to the Lviv region’s factory. In 2025, the company plans to invest an additional ₴60M in a large comprehensive shelter for personnel on the factory premises. Construction is scheduled for completion by May 2025.
Altogether, the company has invested $30M in launching the new factory and creating 250 jobs, with employees from the company’s Kharkiv facility having already been fully relocated. Since 1994, Philip Morris has invested more than $750M into the Ukrainian economy.
