In Ukraine, a record number of industrial parks was registered in 2024: The Lviv and Zakarpattia regions lead the way.
In 2024, no less than 55 industrial parks were created in Ukraine, said Valeriy Kyrylko, owner of the Industrial Parks of Ukraine group of companies. Thirty-one of these parks were included in the Register of Industrial Parks. This is the largest one-year increase in the entire sector’s development history. The previous high-water mark was 13 industrial parks in a year.
Last year, new industrial parks were registered in 15 regions of Ukraine. The largest numbers were in the Lviv and Zakarpattia regions – six and five parks, respectively. Thirteen industrial parks were created by municipal initiators, 18 by private ones; 60% of new industrial parks are located on greenfield sites, 40% on brownfield sites.
“One of the key indicators of the quality of the industrial parks registered in 2024 was that even before registration, almost 70% of them already had investors, potential participants, or management companies,” Kyrylko notes.
