This year, Ukraine’s economy grew by 4%; the agricultural sector’s share of GDP is about 20%.

Over the 11 months of the year, the Ukrainian economy grew by 4% [±0.5%], according to the Ministry of Economy. “The drivers of growth remain the transport and construction industries, processing, and domestic trade,” Minister Yulia Svyrydenko commented on the figures.

According to her, state support programs played a massive role by providing grants for processing, business creation, and development, affordable 5-7-9% lending, e-Oselya, and others within the Made in Ukraine policy framework. Also, increased purchases of Ukrainian defense products stimulates growth in mechanical engineering.

Minister of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine, Vitaly Koval, confirmed that the agro-industrial sector’s share of Ukraine’s GDP is approximately 20%, with agricultural production accounting for about 11% and the processing industry accounting for 9%. Given that Ukraine’s GDP in 2024 is about ₴7B, the agro-industrial complex accounts for ₴1.2B in total, with agriculture responsible for ₴0.77B and agro-processing – ₴0.6B.
