The SPFU has scheduled a second auction to sell the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky port.
The State Property Fund has scheduled another auction for the sale of the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky Sea Trade Port on June 6, with a starting price of UAH 184.92M ($5.6M).
It should be noted that the winner of the previous auction refused to buy the port during the negotiation stage for the terms of the sales contract with the regional branch of the State Property Fund.
The agency previously reported that the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky port is unprofitable but is essential in ensuring global food security as a logistics center for ports on the Danube. It specializes in transporting forest cargo, mineral fertilizers, iron ore coils, metal products, and grain cargo.
Since May 2022, the enterprise has been shipping grain and transshipping iron ore coils and metal products. The port includes nine ships, four locomotives, 18 gantry cranes, and 56 vehicles.
