Pokrovske Mine Management, part of the Metinvest group, reduced output during the war due to a significant outflow of personnel which led to a worker shortage. In January of this year, 838 people worked there, and at the end of April, after the general evacuation was announced only 469 remained. The number was reduced by almost half due to company personnel joining Ukraine’s armed forces. However, lately, the situation has started stabilizing. Some workers have returned, and workers who migrated from other mines and other regions have been hired, said top manager Roman Kovalenko. He added that the enterprise is currently operating, and the team is fulfilling all tasks.
