Electronic wallets and payment accounts in Ukraine now conform to the IBAN standard.

The National Bank has determined the structure for the formation of user payment account numbers and electronic wallets that will adhere to ISO 13616 (IBAN standard) requirements. Each number of the user’s payment account and electronic wallet in the IBAN standard will consist of 29 characters (letters and numbers), just like their bank account number. This unified approach to forming all types of accounts, as well as electronic wallets, will speed up the automatic settlement of payments in Ukraine.
