Zelenskyy has restarted the “big privatization” in Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed Law No. 8250 on optimizing the activities of the State Property Fund (SPFU) and restoring “large-scale privatization”. The document envisages expanding the powers of the head of the FSMU and changing its management structure. As a result, the head of the department will be able to appoint and dismiss deputies independently, and 12 separate regional branches of the fund will become structural subdivisions of the department.

In addition, the law allows for restoring large-scale privatization during the war. It contains several other procedural simplifications regarding the work of the FSMU and the state property sector. The document also makes changes to the work with sanctioned property. Among other things, it is assumed that all funds received from these will be sent to the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.
