Тhe President’s Office through its adviser to Economic matters, Oleh Ustenko, announced that the President is considering introducing Food cards in Ukraine for the most vulnerable population in Ukraine. This system is similar to that in the United States. In the US, money for food is deposited by the government on plastic cards (called food stamps), which can be used in stores for food or other necessities. In Ukraine, the program can be implemented with the help of the Diya app. According to Ustenko, the low-income citizens will receive additional payments from the government to compensate for inflation of grocery prices, reported BBC Ukraine.
