What kind of aid did Ukraine’s allies allocate last week?

USAID is increasing the total funding of a grant program to support the innovative transformation and development of Ukrainian enterprises to $11M. About 75 grants will now be provided within the program instead of 25.

In addition, within the framework of the state program Affordable Loans 5-7-9%, Ukraine received a €50M grant from KfW. The funds will be used to refinance expenses.

The Parliament of Bulgaria ratified an agreement with the EC to provide Ukraine with €3.6B in micro-financial assistance.

Also, the World Bank allocated an additional €1.34B to Ukraine for social payments. The main part of this package,  €1.086B, are funds provided by the Japanese government. Also included are grants from the US, Switzerland, and the URTF by the World Bank.

The EC has approved the transfer to Ukraine of the last tranche of €1.5B in this year’s €18B program of macro-financial assistance, announced the President of the EC, Ursula von der Leyen.

Ukraine and the EBRD signed an agreement to provide €150M to support Ukrenergo, and Germany provided a winter aid package worth €6.1M.
