Volyn will develop an industrial park for the processing of industrial hemp into textiles.

TwinSocks, a manufacturer and distributor of hosiery products based in Volyn, is preparing to create an eco-industrial park focused on processing technical hemp. This crop has the potential to form the foundation for a new processing industry in the region, encompassing the cultivation of industrial hemp and the production of textile products.

Establishing the park will generate additional tax revenues for the local budget, as well as provide benefits and a platform for business expansion. The initiative to create an eco-industrial park has garnered support from the business community in the Volyn region, along with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is noted that the processing of industrial crops is among the most promising in Ukraine.

Presently, three industrial parks are officially registered in the Volyn region, in Novovolynsk, Volodymyr, and Kovel. Additionally, four more, initiated by local council decisions, are currently awaiting approval from the Ministry of Economy.

Besides production, TwinSocks operates branded stores in Lutsk, Kovel, and Rivne.
