Ukrainian Railways has transported more than 500,000 tons of grain.
In April, Ukrainian Railways (UZ) transported more than 500,000 tons of grain, of which 138,000 tons were for export. Since the beginning of April, UZ has loaded 3.92 million tons of cargo. Of these, the volume of grain was 529 thousand tons, or 14%, said Deputy Director of the Commercial Work Department, Valery Tkachov. Currently, the average daily load in April is 41 thousand tons. According to operative data, 2,285 wagons with grain, or 138.3 thousand tons, have been sent for export through border crossings. The largest volumes passed through Izmail (24 thousand tons) and Izov (23 thousand tons). At the same time, 14.6 and 14.5 thousand tons were exported through Chop (to Hungary) and Jagodina. And 12.6 thousand tons passed through Batyovo.
