Ukrainian exports to Turkey have decreased by a third, but Ukraine is negotiating a free trade agreement.

The war has affected trade between Ukraine and Turkey. According to the results of the first seven months of the year, turnover decreased by 22% and exports by 28.4%. According to the Ministry of Economy, Ukraine is striving to restore the pre-war level of trade with Turkey and is doing its best to increase their trade levels with Türkiye. To accomplish this goal, both countries have agreed to speed up the free trade agreement’s ratification and implement measures designed to help Ukrainian businesses in wartime conditions. In addition, Ukraine invited Turkish companies to join the implementation of investment projects within the framework of the Recovery Plan in other regions in addition to the Kharkiv region.
