Ukrainian business leaders note the deterioration of the government’s attitude towards private entrepreneurs.

After the positive dynamics at the beginning of the war, authorities’ attitude towards businesspeople began to deteriorate again and has been accompanied by increased pressure, iforum2023 participants reported.

“It is much better than it was during Yanukovych’s time, but much worse than before the war,” said Vladyslav Chechotkin, co-founder of the country’s largest online marketplace, Rozetka.

According to him, the tax service regularly inspects the company’s activities, including even the Points of Invincibility organized by it. Taxissue minimal fines but get in the way, and inspections stop work.

The co-owner of Nova Poshta, the country’s largest express delivery company, Volodymyr Popereshnyuk, noted that entrepreneurs could breathe freely last year, but recently the situation changed significantly. In particular, duties have returned, and tax benefits have been cancelled.
