Ukraine will win the war, believe 97% of Ukrainians.

According to a survey by the International Republican Institute (IRI), 91% of Ukrainians support the performance of President Zelenskyy, 97% believe they will win the war against Russia, and 74% believe Ukraine will maintain all territories from within its internationally recognized borders defined in 1991.

The poll also showed that support for joining NATO has increased. If a referendum were held today, 82% of the population would support joining NATO. That is an increase of 10% from a poll in June 2022 and 23% from April 2022.

In addition, Ukrainians believe that Russia should pay for any postwar reconstruction. For example, 89% said seized Russian assets or payments should finance damaged infrastructure.

Further, 54% feel that reconstruction decisions should be made by the citizens of affected cities and towns, while 37% support local elected authorities making those decisions.
