Poland will provide Ukraine with 25,000 tons of gasoline to overcome its deficit, stated First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyridenko. According to her, the reason for the fuel shortage is that before the war, 97% of Ukraine’s fuel was supplied by Russia and Belarus. Now those supply lines are closed. In addition, the Russians destroyed the Kremenchug refinery. As a result, 25,000 tons of gasoline will be sent from the Polish reserves to balance the fuel market. Ukraine will start receiving these resources early next week. The Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland, Anna Moskwa, took part in the same press conference. She said that work is underway to increase the capacity of the Polish-Ukrainian border for fuel transportation.
