Ukraine starts joint production of armored vehicles with Rheinmetall, but Germany could not keep up with weapon production, so Azerbaijan and South Korea tried to help.

Ukraine and German arms concern Rheinmetall will soon launch the production of armored vehicles on Ukraine’s territory, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced. He noted that Rheinmetall already produces artillery shells for Ukraine and is receiving new orders.

Meanwhile, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that the country is delaying the supply of ammunition and air defense systems to Ukraine, as the country’s defense industry is not keeping up with demand. He gives his assurance that his country will increase the capacity of the defense industry as soon as possible. Pistorius explained that opening the factory and building the necessary inventory to produce weapons quickly and without interruption will take time.

At the same time, media reported that a portion of the ammunition supplied to the Ukrainian army is probably manufactured in Azerbaijan. However, the volumes are not known. Currently, South Korea is the largest supplier of projectiles to Ukraine after the US.
