Ukraine plans to create the Green Transition Office.

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine published an order to establish the Office of Green Transition under the Ministry to ensure the implementation of the National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) for the period up to 2030. The main tasks of this office will be:

1. preparing reports on the progress of the NECP’s implementation
2. preparing proposals to develop programs to implement measures while accomplishing the goals provided by the NECP
3. organizing interaction and coordination of activities between state authorities, other state bodies, and public organizations representing the interests of small and medium-sized business entities, other organizations, and institutions to ensure the NECP’s implementation

The Green Transition Office will participate in the development of proposals for regulatory and legal acts, conduct an analysis of the effectiveness of the implementation of the NECP’s goals and measures, prepare proposals for attracting international technical assistance for the implementation of the plan and proposals for attracting targeted green and climate financing in Ukraine, including for small and medium-sized enterprises.
