Ukraine opened 12 new export markets in the livestock sector.

Last year, the country received 22 international veterinary certificates for product export by Ukrainian agricultural companies. In 2022, Ukraine started exporting to Albania, Georgia, the Dominican Republic, Kenya, Israel, Canada, North Macedonia, Singapore, Serbia, Turkey, Pakistan, and Montenegro. Also, according to the State Production and Consumer Service, the number of enterprises producing goods of animal origin with the right to export their products to the EU territory increased to 432 over the year. This is 53 more exporters than at the beginning of 2022, compared to 23 firms in 2021 that had acquired the right. The positive dynamics in increasing the number of Ukrainian exporters to the European market are extremely important given Ukraine’s acquisition candidate status for EU membership.
