Ukraine is increasing imports and reducing exports of electricity: November’s results.

According to energy map data, the export of electricity in November amounted to 40,900 MWh, which is 41% less than in October. Last month’s largest volumes were supplied to Slovakia with 43% of the total volume (17,600 MWh), and another 21% (8,700 MWh) went to Moldova.

For the first time in more than a year, exports to Romania were carried out, which amounted to 14,700 MWh, or 36% of the total volume. The resumption of supplies to and from Romania became possible through Ukraine’s compliance with the EU’s requirements for holding joint auctions to access interstate sections.

As for imports, they exceeded exports by 50%, reaching 60,700 MWh. Of these, 46% (27,700 MWh) came from Slovakia, 35% (21,100 MWh) from Romania (for the first time since November 2022), 12% (7,700 MWh) from Poland, 7% (4,200 MWh) from Moldova. Compared to October, imports increased by 250%.
