Ukraine and Poland agree on some of the conditions to unblock the border.

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the parties have already decided:

1. The Ugryniv – Dołhobyczów crossing point will be opened to pass empty trucks starting December 4
2. Creating separate passes for empty vans in the eCherga system at the Yagodin – Dorohusk and Krakivets – Korczowa checkpoints. There are physical lanes for empty vehicles on both the Ukrainian and Polish sides
3. Launch of a pilot project with registration in eCherga immediately before crossing the border at the checkpoint Niżankowice – Malhowice for one month

It is emphasized that the issue of cancellation or changes being made to the transport visa-free status was not discussed during the negotiations and was not on the agenda. At the same time, Polish protestors insist on the operation of Ugryniv – Dołhobyczów and Niżankowice – Malhowice border crossing only for EU-registered transport.

“Such a position is unacceptable for Ukraine and the EU because it is a discriminatory norm against other countries,” the agency noted.
