Ukraine introduces a concession project for the Chornomorsk seaport in Warsaw.

During an investment conference in Warsaw, Ukraine highlighted key aspects of the concession project for the port of Chornomorsk in the Odesa region. These include the terminal’s potential, specific competition conditions and measures implemented by the government and its partners to guarantee transparency, and investment appeal. This is a long-term concession lasting 40 years and covering two terminals: a container terminal and a universal terminal, with a capacity of up to 760,000 twenty-foot containers and over five million tons of cargo annually. This project complements the newly established Ukrainian Black Sea Corridor, which facilitates the diversification of cargo routes, enhances trade reliability, and improves customs efficiency.

Previously, the Polish Ministry of Agriculture discussed the potential of leasing or purchasing a port in Odessa to gain access to the Black Sea and export its and other European grain.

Danish container carrier A.P. Moeller-Maersk AS is also interested in exploring the possibility of a terminal concession at the port of Chornomorsk.
