Ukraine has launched the BRAVE1 cluster for the development of defense technologies.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation, Ministry of Defense, General Staff, National Security Council, Ministry of Strategic Industry, and Ministry of Economy have established a single defense technology coordination platform, BRAVE1, a UBN correspondent reports.
Representatives from the departments mentioned above also signed a memorandum of cooperation. Its purpose is to supply and transfer advanced Ukrainian technological solutions to the front, comprehensively support Ukrainian developers in innovative defense technologies, and develop the field to transform Ukraine into a world leader in defense tech. As the head of BRAVE1, Natalya Kushnerska, noted, the war has spurred hundreds of Ukrainian companies in the field of defense tech, which develops modern solutions for waging “smart” war.
BRAVE1 has been created as a single window for cooperation between companies, the state, and the military, as well as investors, volunteer foundations, and the media to accelerate the development of military technology. “The Ministry of Defense will ensure that domestic manufacturers receive all the funds that will be directed to high-tech weapons. The Ministry has ensured that UAV developers put 25% of the profit in new contracts with the state, instead of the current 3%,” noted Reznikov.
