Ukraine has increased its budget revenues, but the deficit reaches 34% of all revenues.

From January 1 to February 8, budget revenues increased by 26.9% compared to last year, the NBU reported. Without international financial aid, they increased by 60% due to a 70% increase in tax revenues. Revenue came from income tax (+60%), VAT on goods, works, and services produced in Ukraine (+410%), and the revenues from budget institutions, which increased by 23.5%.

State budget expenditures for the same period increased by 12%, social security increased by 5.7%, and capital expenditures increased by 60% amid restoration construction and other works.

At the same time, the state budget deficit amounts to $1.7B. This is 34% of total state budget revenue. From January 1 to February 6, 2024, revenue amounted to ₴41.2B.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the war, about $75.4B of international financial aid has supported the state budget.
