Ukraine demands Russia’s immediate expulsion from the Council of Europe.

 Ukraine has demanded Russia’s removal from the Council of Europe at once, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said, speaking at an extraordinary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.  “We all know that punishment for genocide and terrorism cannot be avoided. And we must be even tougher in our response. Therefore, we demand a decision on the immediate expulsion of Russia from the Council of Europe! Those who unconditionally support unprovoked and unjustified aggression have no place in the only European family where human life is the highest value,” said Denys Shmyhal.
