Ukraine continues its privatization process and replenishes its budget.

The State Property Fund of Ukraine held nine successful privatization auctions from June 16-20, raising ₴837.9M for the state budget. On average, prices for assets put up for auction increased by 220% during the bidding process. The most expensive asset sold last week was the state-owned construction company Ukrbud in Kyiv, which sold for ₴805M ($19M). Nine auctions are scheduled for this week, including lots such as the Lviv Special Design Bureau Topaz (Lviv) and the Scientific Center for Precision Engineering (Kyiv).
On July 4, an auction is planned for the privatization of 50% +1 share of the Rivne Radiotechnical Plant. The starting bid is ₴121.56M (excluding VAT).
“The plant is an excellent brownfield project, as it is located in the city of Rivne, just four kilometers from the M06 Kyiv-Chop international highway. Among its advantages are the large total area of premises and land and connection to communications. The new owner could see this facility as a good site for relocation or ready-made production,” the SPFU stated.
Previously, the enterprise produced radio equipment for aviation, the USSR’s defense complex, as well as consumer goods such as radio transmitters and receivers.
