Ukraine and Poland are upgrading the interstate transmission line.

Ukrenergo and the Polish transmission system operator PSE S.A. began improving the cross-border interstate power transmission line between Ukraine and Poland. It will increase the network’s capacity by 600%, the Ukrenergo press service reported. Exports to Poland resumed a few weeks after the synchronization of Ukraine’s power system with the power grid of continental Europe, and now it amounts to 215 MW. Putting the improved interconnector into operation at the beginning of next year can increase the physical ability to export Ukrainian electricity to Poland by almost 1,000 MW.
