Türkiye will help to deliver 20 million tons of grain to the world.
As a result of Türkiye’s robust, multi-faceted diplomacy, a roadmap for negotiation has been prepared. Its details will be discussed at a meeting with Russia, Ukraine, Türkiye, and UN officials. Issues such as the route, insurance, and the security of cargo ships, especially the clearing of sea mines in the region, will be evaluated at the quadripartite meeting. In a phone call with Erdogan, Putin noted that Russia is willing to facilitate unhindered cargo shipments in coordination with its Turkish partners, including grain shipments from Ukrainian ports. Speaking with Zelenskyy, Erdogan emphasized that Türkiye attaches particular importance to the project of establishing a safe corridor for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products by sea. Diplomatic sources reported that Putin and Zelenskyy viewed the cooperation on creating a “grain corridor” positively.
