Trucks with Ukrainian exports are stuck in queues at the Polish border.
The European Business Association appealed to the Council of Europe and Ukrainian and Polish state structures with a call to resolve the problem of long queues of trucks at the borders.
According to the EBA, the duration of border crossing by trucks with products subject to veterinarian control is 10 days. The waiting time for other cargoes ranges from 5 to 10 days or more. At the same time, according to Ukrainian legislation, customs clearance of freight must be carried out within four hours from the moment of arrival at the checkpoint.
Currently, a queue of 3,500 cars has formed at the Yagodin checkpoint. The Krakowec-Korchava checkpoint passes approximately 117 trucks per day, although previously, this point accommodated 440 trucks. At other checkpoints, the situation is no better, the EBA noted.
This issue causes hundreds of thousands of euros of losses for Ukraine and the EU monthly.
