The wholesale, retail, and processing industries are still among the largest taxpayers during the war.

From January to October, the largest share of the payment of taxes, fees, and payments to the consolidated budget was contributed by enterprises in the following industries: wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, processing industry, extracting industry, and quarry development, public administration and defense, and social insurance. In total, these sectors of the economy account for 55.8% of all taxes and fees that have been paid. At the same time, enterprises in the following sectors reduced their tax payments: agriculture – by 23.7%, processing industry by 20.7%, and transport/logistics by 15.4%. As well, the following sectors increased tax deductions: public administration and defense by 2.2 times due to a 9-fold increase in defense spending. Electricity and gas suppliers increased their tax payments by 1.4 times due to the rise in energy prices.
