The volume of completed construction works increased by almost 21% this year.
The index of completed construction works in Ukraine increased by 20.4% in January-September compared to last year. The volume of completed construction works during this period in monetary terms reached ₴96.02B ($2.6B).
The driver of construction growth in 2023 was engineering structures (+34.4%). At the same time, residential construction decreased by 4.3%, and non-residential construction increased by 14.1%. In monetary terms, residential construction reached ₴14.91B, non-residential construction – ₴24.46B, and the construction of engineering structures – ₴56.65B.
The share of new construction in the total amount of completed construction works was 39.5%, repairs – 38,4%, and reconstruction and technical re-equipment – 22.1%. The growth of engineering construction is related to restoring transport and industrial facilities destroyed by Russia, as well as bridges, overpasses, roads, railways, pipelines, communications, power lines, and other infrastructure and engineering structures.
