The US will provide $457.5M in civil security assistance to Ukraine.

The United States will provide Ukraine with $457.5M in civil security assistance, stated Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The new assistance package will be allocated for civil security assistance to save lives and strengthen the capacity of Ukraine’s law enforcement and criminal justice systems. In addition, Blinken’s statement said that the aid can contribute to American support “for the Ukrainian government’s efforts to document, investigate, and prosecute atrocities perpetrated by Russia’s forces, drawing on our long-standing relationship with Ukrainian criminal justice agencies, including the Ukrainian Office of the Prosecutor General and the NPU’s war crimes unit.”
