The US is ready to provide Ukraine with military aid immediately after Congress’ approval.

The Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary, Sabrina Singh, said that the US Department of Defense can ensure the delivery of new aid packages to Ukraine quickly, immediately after the US Congress passes the corresponding bill. In this regard, she emphasized that the Pentagon was usually able to assemble the necessary weapons systems and ammunition within a few days each time a new package of military aid was allocated.

Also, the US Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, expressed confidence at a briefing in Kyiv that Congress would approve the draft law on aid to Ukraine.

“We don’t have a Plan B because we are 100% focused on Plan A: Congress approves the president’s request, and he signs an additional request for Ukraine,” she said.

Brink explained that the president’s request consists of three parts: a security component, direct budget support, and economic support.

“I am sure that the support will be approved”.

She also added that the agreement on security cooperation between the US and Ukraine is currently still being worked out; it is designed to provide defense needs until it joins NATO.
