The US assures Ukraine of its continued support under any conditions, and most Ukrainians are convinced of this aid’s independence from reform demands.
Supporting Ukraine remains a priority for the US and Europe and this shared commitment is critical to supporting Ukraine’s fight against Russian aggression, stated US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.
She also said the Biden administration is committed to supporting Ukraine “as much as it takes” and will fight to get a bipartisan majority in the US Congress to approve and continue uninterrupted aid.
Regarding the demands of Western partners for their continued support for Ukraine, 71.3% of Ukrainians believe that they should provide the country with money without any conditions because Ukrainians are losing their lives fighting for common democratic values and the security of the Western world. Only 16.1% of people disagree with this statement. At the same time, 58.8% are convinced that the reforms proposed by the US will accelerate Ukraine’s path to the EU and guarantee the country’s stable development. However, 17.5% do not agree with this.
