The Ukrainian IT job market is facing a turning point.
The labor market in the Ukrainian IT sector has changed dramatically following a sharp decrease in the number of vacancies. The main reason is the deterioration of the global situation in the sector and a reduction in investment, as well as the unwillingness of new customers to use the services of Ukrainian IT companies in wartime conditions.
According to SoftServe co-founder Taras Kitsmey, there used to be three to five vacancies per employee, and now, on the contrary, there is one vacancy for every three to five employees. Kitzmey added that the new clients have almost stopped coming to Ukraine due to the high risks of doing business with Ukrainian companies during the war and more opportunities to work with companies from other countries.
