The UK and Ukraine have signed a digital trade agreement.
The UK has signed a key digital trade agreement with Ukraine, which will support the country’s economy and significantly strengthen the trade and investment relationship between the countries.
On March 20, the UK’s Ministry of Business and Trade hosted several Ukrainian government officials and 200 representatives of British and international business. The UK ministry organized the Road to the Restoration of Ukraine conference to attract British companies to participate in future projects to restore Ukraine.
The head of the British ministry, Kemi Badenoch, believes the agreement paves the way for a new era of modern trade between countries. The official clarified that the UK is also extending duty-free trade on imports from Ukraine until the beginning of 2024.
Consequently, Ukraine will have guaranteed access to financial services that are critical to the country’s recovery, thanks to the simplification of cross-border data flows.
