The state has improved settlement performance with producers of green electricity.
The state’s debts to RES producers did not increase in 2022, and in 2023 the payment level to these producers increased, said the head of the parliamentary committee on energy issues, Andrii Gerus.
He clarified that it is still difficult to talk about an ideal situation, but currently there is stability and the process is being controlled by the state. Even during the war, new facilities are being built and implemented, showing investors believe in Ukraine and are ready to invest in the country. That is, there are attractive conditions and a sufficiently favorable environment for the development of RES generation, even with the current reduction in electricity consumption and the decrease in the number of paying consumers.
Gerus added there are still some problems with collecting the necessary tariff contract and timely payment of all the electricity sold under the green tariff, but the state continues to work on these issues.
