The sale of government bonds brought UAH 12.5B to the budget.

The Ministry of Finance, on February 7, auctioned domestic state loan bonds worth UAH 12.5B. Almost half – 46% of this issue – consisted of a 2.3-year benchmark OVDP, with which the NBU allowed banks to form mandatory reserves. Their repayment term is until May 21, 2025. In total: €6.93M placed at 2.5% with repayment in August 2023, $173.95M placed at 4.25% with repayment in July, UAH 5.74B placed at 19.59% with repayment in May, UAH 13.86 million at 19.5% with repayment in October 2024 and UAH 50.4M allocated at 15% with repayment in September 2023. Funds from the bonds are used for uninterrupted financing of the social and defense needs of the state.
