The Russian Federation has targeted Ukraine’s industrial and logistics infrastructure.

As a result of the latest attack on the night of May 3, an electrical substation in the Sumy region was significantly damaged. More than 4,000 consumers were left without power due to the shelling, the Ministry of Energy reported. The occupiers also damaged distribution networks in the Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Donetsk regions.

During the night, the occupiers also launched drones at the oil depot in Kropyvnytskyi. In the afternoon of May 3, the Russian occupiers attacked the only working hypermarket in Kherson, Epicenter.

According to Vladyslav Seleznyov, ex-adviser of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia is now trying to hit locations that if destroyed will slow down preparations for Ukraine’s counteroffensive.

“Eliminating infrastructure and logistics components is an effective approach to weakening the military potential of the Ukrainian Defense Forces”, noted the expert. Critical infrastructure objects are also the occupier’s focus of attention because they provide power for logistics networks.
