The road to non-return: Germany will quicken the employment process for Ukrainian refugees.

The German government wants to speed up and simplify the process of refugee employment, according to a message from the German Ministry of Labor. It is noted that more than 100,000 Ukrainians have recently completed an integration course, and another 100,000 will complete it in the coming months.

“Everyone who has passed the integration course should get work experience and further qualifications as soon as possible,” the ministry says, noting that this contributes to Germany’s need for skilled workers.

The federal government wants to convince large companies, temporary employment agencies, and industry associations to commit to employing asylum seekers, even if they do not yet speak German well. Minister Hubertus Heil said that his department and the Federal Employment Agency are implementing several measures to speed up refugee integration.
