The plan for integration into the common EU market was approved.
According to President Zelenskyy, the plan details priority actions for 2023-2024. He explained that its implementation would make Ukraine a de facto member of the EU at the economic level including agriculture, energy, digital services, transport, the financial sphere, and customs. In addition, the summit gave a positive assessment of Ukraine’s implementation of the seven recommendations from the European Commission, which the country received along with candidate status for EU accession. Furthermore, the president emphasized that despite the war, progress in the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU is obvious. Zelenskyy added that Ukraine’s intention to start accession negotiations, and start them as soon as possible, was recorded for the first time.
