The opening of negotiations with the EU has a positive economic effect on Ukraine, but economic relations with Poland must be restarted.
“Asian countries have begun to turn more to Ukraine regarding the opportunities our country’s EU membership creates for their investors,” said the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba.
He emphasized that now investors know that Ukraine will become part of the common market, that the same rules regarding courts, the rule of law, and the fight against corruption will apply in Ukraine as in Europe, so they are much more interested in investing in Ukraine.
At the same time, according to the minister, the negotiations regarding EU membership will be difficult. There will be no problems with security, political, or legal blocs, but talks on economic interests will be difficult.
At the same time, Ukraine does not see any need to restart relations with Poland in politics, military cooperation, and support, but this must be done in economic matters.
