The market for investments and M&A in Ukraine reached $1.2B in 2024.
According to analysts, the volume of announced and completed M&A deals in Ukraine, including corporate deals, venture capital transactions in the technology sector, and state-owned property privatization deals in 2024 amounted to $1.2B. Given the deals’ low publicity, it is assumed that M&A market’s volume was slightly higher – about $1.5B.
The largest deal was an investment round that attracted $200M by Creatio (developer of a no-code platform for business process automation). Compared to the previous year, the total volume of M&A deals in 2024 decreased by 30% in value terms. However, given the number of transactions, we can note an inevitable revival of the investment market.
The number of M&A deals in Ukraine worth over $0.5M in 2024 increased by more than 20% and amounted to 113 deals. Foreign investors accounted for 45% of the total investment deals and 60% in value terms. In terms of industry, the IT, technology, and telecommunications sectors led the way ($496M and 41 deals). This was followed by the construction and real estate sectors ($202M, 29 deals) and the agricultural sector ($129M, 11 deals).
