The main principles of the Partial Loan Guarantee Fund to farmers

was presented by the Ministry of Agriculture. It will allocate UAH 24 bln ($900 mln) to finance farmers. The Fund’s authorized capital is UAH 3 bln ($112 mln), said the Minister of Agriculture of Ukraine, Roman Leshchenko. The Fund will provide guarantees of up to 50% of the outstanding principal amount and guarantees for the term of the loan agreement, but not more than 10 years. The primary condition – the ownership or use of farmers should be no more than 500 hectares of land, and they must specialize in the primary production of agricultural products. According to Leshchenko, there is confirmation from the EU to allocate a grant of €50 mln to replenish the authorized capital of the Fund.

A New Economic passport for Ukrainians by December 10 was announced by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. “By December 10 this year, for the first time in the history of our independence, I am introducing a bill on the economic passport of Ukrainians”, said the President during his annual address to the Parliament of Ukraine. “All funds and fees for using the Ukrainian subsoil will be accumulated in the personal accounts of children of Ukrainian citizens”, he said.

Nord Stream 2 will be launched without certification might be possible.  According to reports in the German newspaper, Handelsblatt, the gas pipeline may start operating without certification. This scenario was played out with German projects NEL and EGL 401. However, in this case, Nord Stream 2 may be fined €1 mln, according to the estimates of the German Federal Network Agency (BNA). The penalty for putting the gas pipeline into operation in Germany was acceptable, given that the cost of the entire Nord Stream 2 project is €10 bln.
