The largest private railway freight operator in Ukraine plans to build a modern container terminal in Fastiv.

Last year, Lemtrans transported 15.9 million tons of cargo and aims to establish a container terminal in Fastiv (Kyiv region) that will serve as a strategic logistics hub for both the region and the country. The terminal’s opening will optimize logistics chains, expand export capabilities for Ukrainian manufacturers, and enhance the integration of local businesses into international markets.
Even during the war, Lemtrans has remained a committed investor in the transport industry. In 2024, the company allocated ₴478M to logistics and infrastructure projects, which is 200% more than in 2023. Of this amount, ₴441M was specifically invested in terminal and container operations. Despite facing a challenging economic environment, the company continues to pursue new projects that aim to strengthen Ukraine’s logistics capabilities.
Last year, Lemtrans’ main cargo consisted of coal – 10.9 million tons (compared to 13.5 million tons in 2023), iron ore raw materials – 2.3 million tons (up from 0.4 million tons), and building materials – 2.01 million tons (down from 2.9 million tons).
