The largest frozen bakery plant in Ukraine has been opened in Transcarpathia with a ₴400M investment.

Bakery Food Investment launched a new frozen bakery facility in Khust, Transcarpathian region, with the total investment of ₴400M ($9.5M). BFI acquired the site in September 2024, and by May 2025, they had launched the first of five production lines. Four of these lines are dedicated to making frozen bakery products – pastries, phyllo dough, croissants, and donuts. The fifth line is for ice production. The plant’s planned capacity is up to 3,000 tons of products per month. Currently, BFI employs more than 600 people. The company aims to export up to 30% of the plant’s output.
The Khust plant’s construction is part of BFI’s updated global growth strategy. As part of this strategy, the company has also invested ₴160M in upgrading its plant in Kozelets (Chernihiv region), increasing its capacity by 25%. Bakery Food Investment is a leading manufacturer of frozen bakery products in Ukraine, with exports to 15 countries, including the US, Georgia, Turkey, and various European nations.
