The Hryvnia has been weakening against the dollar since the beginning of the year.

The hryvnia continues to lose its position under the pressure of growing demand for currency from investors and non-residents and may weaken to UAH 28.2-28.3 / USD. The foreign exchange market is now under pressure from the seasonal weakening of the currency and Russia’s risk of military aggression. The dollar and the euro rose sharply throughout January and increased in price by almost one hryvnia. The official dollar exchange rate for Friday, January 14, was set by the National Bank at UAH 27.73 / USD. The euro also continued to grow rapidly, with the exchange rate at UAH 31.78 / EUR.
