The G7 countries are intensifying their efforts to meet Ukraine’s urgent financial needs, according to a statement based on the consultations among the leaders of the G7 countries. “We will ask our finance ministers to convene a meeting soon to discuss a joint approach to coordinated budget support in 2023,” the document says. At the same time, it is emphasized that the International Monetary Fund should play a central role in these efforts. The G7 countries also stated that they firmly support providing immediate financial stability for Ukraine, its recovery, and reconstruction. But efforts are aimed at a stable, successful, and democratic future that promotes Ukraine’s European path.
