The First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) is entering the brokerage business.

First Ukrainian International Bank, owned by Rinat Akhmetov, is working to make it easier for its clients to buy shares in foreign companies, reports epravda.  The stock trading model that the FUIB will use is sub-brokerage. This means that the bank will act as an intermediary between its clients and one of the brokers who have access to western trading platforms. For example, Monobank uses the same model in its application for trading shares. Conversely, Alfa-Bank was the first to launch a stock trading function that uses a dealer model.
