The EU will provide $15.5M in support to Ukrainian farmers.

The EU will allocate $15.5M to finance a project to support Ukrainian rural households, small farmers, and small agricultural enterprises, which is implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO). The project targets support for manufacturers in Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, and part of the Chernivtsi regions. The provision of grants for investment at the level of farms and value-added chains, in combination with the provision of advisory services and consultations, is envisaged. The program will be implemented through the State Agrarian Register of Ukraine. Grants from $1,000 to $25,000 will begin to be awarded in March 2023.
